The Hidden Figures Canada podcast is one element of the  ‘Hidden Figures’ in the Social and Natural Sciences: Exploring Racism, Whiteness, and Epistemic Oppression in the Canadian Academy project. Our podcast contains episodes about various aspects of racism, whiteness and epistemic oppression in the social and natural sciences across Canada. We are primarily interested in the experiences of BIPOC groups in the Canadian academy as a way of showcasing how representation matters in our understandings of who is excluded, why and how they are excluded.  In addition to the topic of BIPOC exclusion and marginalization, we discuss and spotlight specific BIPOC scholars in different disciplines within the social and natural sciences and their contributions to their respective fields of study.
